Letran Calamba hit a hole-in-one with the 2nd Rector’s Cup: Golf Tournament for a Cause, held on January 11, 2025, at the scenic South Forbes Golf Course in Silang, Cavite. This exciting event united alumni, golf enthusiasts, and supporters for a day of sport, camaraderie, and meaningful contributions to the Colegio’s priority initiatives.
Organized by the Letran Calamba Alumni Association (LeCAA) in partnership with the Letran Calamba Linkages and Alumni Office, the tournament successfully raised funds to support impactful projects that enhance the Letran Calamba experience.
The event was graced by Rev. Fr. Michael M. Sales, O.P., Vice President for Finance of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba, who visited during the registration period and took the time to roam around the course, casually meeting and encouraging players. Adding inspiration to the occasion, Rev. Fr. Hilario V. Sicat Jr., O.P., Officer-in-Charge of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba, delivered the Closing Remarks, emphasizing the importance of shared efforts for the Colegio’s vision. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the LeCAA for spearheading the event, as well as to the alumni and players for their unwavering support in making the event a success.
Over 50 players participated, enjoying not only the competitive golfing but also live music and a festive program. The event featured performances by Mr. Brian Bawit and Ms. Margeline Castillo, talented faculty members from the School of Education, Arts, and Sciences (SEAS). Hosting the event was Dr. Richard John Brian D.L. Manzano, LeCAA Auditor and Dean of SEAS, who ensured the program ran seamlessly.
