On February 15, 2025, San Beda College Alabang served as the venue for the inaugural International Faculty Research Conference hosted by the Consortium of the South (CotS). This landmark event, themed "Navigating Ethical Challenges: Key Issues and Strategic Solutions," convened scholars and researchers from across the consortium's member institutions, fostering a robust dialogue on pressing ethical considerations in contemporary research.
Letran Calamba was prominently represented, with faculty members demonstrating their commitment to scholarly inquiry through both poster and oral presentations. The institution's dedication to advancing knowledge and ethical research practices was evident in the quality and depth of the presented works.
In the poster presentation segment, Ms. Ann Reshier G. Bayugo, Ms. Czarina Alexa L. Izon, and Mr. Adrian D. Valencia presented their research titled "The Role of Psychological Assessment on Internship Placement and Outcomes." This study explored the critical intersection of psychological evaluations and their impact on internship efficacy, offering valuable insights into optimizing student experiences and professional development.
The oral presentation segment featured Dr. Loriemel E. Ferrera and Ms. Glodelyn D.L. Ocfemia, who presented their research, "Extent of Attainment of the Program Outcomes of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology." This study meticulously examined the alignment of academic program outcomes with actual student achievements, providing a comprehensive assessment of educational effectiveness.
Dr. Ma. Xenia Z. Bitera, the Senior Director of the Research Department at Letran Calamba, played a pivotal role in the conference by delivering a comprehensive synthesis of the international research discussions.
