Letran Calamba is dedicated to enhancing the research competencies of its personnel to ensure the production of high-quality and responsive studies. In response to key findings from the recent Training Needs Assessment (TNA) conducted by the Institutional Research Unit, the Research, Quality Management, and Planning Department (RQMPD) led by Dr. Ma. Xenia Z. Bitera, in collaboration with the Human Resources Department (HRD) under Ms. Eloisa A. Genota organized a research training entitled, “๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐: ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด, ๐๐ป๐ฎ๐น๐๐๐ถ๐, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ป๐ต๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐๐น๐๐” on January 23, 2026. The training featured ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ป ๐. ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด, Associate Professor V, Master’s Program Head for Graduate Studies and Applied Research, and University-wide Director for Research and Development Services at Laguna State Polytechnic University as the resource speaker.
The activity received strong support from the administration, highlighted by the presence of ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐. ๐๐ฟ. ๐ฅ๐ผ๐บ๐ฎ๐ป ๐. ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ผ๐, Rector and President of Letran Calamba, who delivered the opening remarks. ๐๐ฟ. ๐๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฉ. ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ, Vice President for Academics, articulated the purpose of the event, while ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ. ๐ซ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ญ. ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ introduced the invited resource speaker. The program concluded with closing remarks from ๐ ๐. ๐๐น๐ผ๐ถ๐๐ฎ ๐. ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ผ๐๐ฎ, Assistant Vice President for Administration and Director for HRD, which were delivered by ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ, HRD Officer.
This enriching event brought together dedicated faculty members and academic heads from:
School of Engineering and Architecture;
School of Business, Management, and Accountancy;
School of Education, Arts, and Science and Technology;
School of Nursing;
Grade School;
Junior High School;
Senior High School;
Graduate School; and
Religious Education Department.
Through Dr. Ching’s discussions, participants gained practical experience in processing and organizing educational datasets, applying essential data analysis methods, and accurately interpreting results to generate valuable insights.
The RQMPD extends its gratitude to all participants and administrators who contributed to the success of this training. By continuously building research capacity, we empower our educators to drive meaningful change and uphold the culture of excellence in research and teaching at Letran Calamba.
