Learning Beyond Classrooms: An Industry Visit to Digital Edge

Our Computer Science and Information Technology students had an exciting and

insightful industry visit to Digital Edge, a premier green data center company.

During the visit, students were given an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how large-

scale data centers operate, from server infrastructure and network security to

redundancy systems, cooling technologies, and real-time monitoring operations. The

experience allowed them to connect classroom theories with real-world applications,

deepening their understanding of how critical IT systems are managed and maintained.

Students also had the opportunity to engage with industry professionals who shared

valuable insights on best practices, emerging technologies, and career pathways in the

field of networking and data management.
