LETRAN CALAMBA AND ESSILORLUXOTTICA FORGE GROUNDBREAKING PARTNERSHIP

Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba is excited to announce a groundbreaking partnership with EssilorLuxottica International Management and Service (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a global leader in the eyewear industry.  The partnership was officially sealed with a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) virtual signing on July 30, 2024. This collaboration is set to provide Letran Calamba students with world-class educational experiences, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in their future careers.

EssilorLuxottica, known for its cutting-edge vision care solutions and premium eyewear, continues to set industry standards for quality and design. Partnering with this industry giant, Letran Calamba is paving the way for its students to access unparalleled opportunities within the global marketplace.

The partnership will focus on several key areas designed to enhance the educational journey of Letran Calamba students:

1. On-the-Job Training Program (Local Entity). Students will gain practical experience within EssilorLuxottica’s local entities, preparing them for future roles in the industry.
2. Operations Internship Program (Regional). This program will provide regional internship opportunities, offering students exposure to the operations side of the business in Thailand.
3. Cadetship Program (Local Entity). Selected students will participate in a cadetship program, focusing on leadership and professional development within EssilorLuxottica’s local entities.
4. STEM Program (Regional). The partnership includes a regional Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) program, designed to foster innovation and technical skills among students.
5. Operations Talent Program (Global Program). This global program will identify and nurture top talent, offering students opportunities to work on international projects and gain global industry insights.
6. Job Placement through Recruitment Process. EssilorLuxottica will actively engage in the recruitment process, providing job placement opportunities for Letran Calamba graduates.
7. Faculty Immersion. Faculty members will have the chance to immerse themselves in industry practices, bringing real-world insights back to the classroom.
8. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Tie-Ups. The partnership will also focus on CSR initiatives, encouraging students to participate in programs that promote eye health and vision care awareness in the community.
9. Research Partnerships. Collaborative research initiatives will allow students and faculty to contribute to groundbreaking projects in vision care and eyewear technology.
