EMPOWERING RESEARCHERS!

The Research Department (RD) with the Human Resource Department (HRD) and Office of the Vice President for Academics and Research (OVPAR), recently held a whole-day seminar on Qualitative Research. Faculty, staff, and administrators gained valuable skills in paradigms & epistemologies, data collection techniques, and data analysis & interpretation.

Rev. Fr. Napoleon M. Encarnacion, OP., Rector and President of Letran Calamba, graced the activity by giving his opening remarks and attending the seminar. Dr. Floricon V. Encabo, VP for Academics and Research Division, welcomed the participants and stated the rationale of the activity.

Assistant Professor John Christopher Mesana, LPT, MACHS, Director of the Research and Publication Department of Colegio de San Juan de Letran-Manila, served as the resource speaker. A research methodologist, he was trained and adept in utilizing different obtrusive and unobtrusive qualitative and quantitative research designs. He is an accomplished researcher, having publications in Q1 and Q2 Scopus-indexed journals.

Representatives from ONELetran member schools— Letran Manaoag and Letran Bataan also joined the seminar. Their participation fosters a stronger research community within ONELetran.

Dr. Ma. Xenia Z. Bitera, RD Senior Director, ended the activity with a brief orientation on research incentives and gave her closing remarks.

This seminar endorsed by HRD headed by Dr. Maresann V. Garcia, aims to contribute to strengthening Letran Calamba's research culture by equipping our community with the tools to conduct high-quality research.
