The Community and Extension Services Department is responsible for the realization of the Colegio's mission, vision and objectives in the sphere of community and extension services through effective planning and implementation of relevant programs and services. The department provides avenues for all members of the Letran Calamba community to rendered people-centered as well as poverty alleviation-focused programs and projects for health, social, economic, cultural, environmental and political emancipation.
VISION
We envision the Community and Extension Services Department as the Colegio's resource center for community and extension services that develops in every Letranite the culture of service according to an education that is Filipino, Dominican, and Christian in orientation.
MISSION
We, the Community and Extension Services Department, commit to assist the Letran-Calamba community to become a unified force in the service of partner communities in the region through relevant, voluntary, participatory and sustainable actions guided by the Filipino Dominican philosophy of education and spirituality.
CORE VALUES QUALITY OBJECTIVES
1. To provide relevant and appropriate avenues for members of the Letran Calamba community to serve poor and underserved partner communities/organizations;
2. To promote community and extension work alongside with the instruction and research functions of the Colegio; and
3. To assist community and extension service stakeholders (partner community, Letran Calamba students, faculty, employees and project partners) in their formation of becoming responsible, productive and conscientious members of the society through guided conduct of community and extension service, service learning, and capacity building activities.
SDA-BASED QUALITY OBJECTIVES
COMMUNITY AND EXTENSION SERVICES. To strengthen Letran Calamba’s solidarity with the larger community through programs that are compassionate to its needs, especially the marginalized.
