Letran Calamba is now offering the Bachelor of Physical Education program. As a student of the BPE program, one can acquire specialized skills, comprehensive knowledge, and broad understanding of the field of physical education, coaching, officiating, and sports and wellness management. One can learn how to be an effective physical education teacher or a competitive sports and wellness manager by developing basic understanding and appreciation of human movement through active participation in various physical activities.

The program is a four-year course with the primary goal of providing students a broad understanding of the discipline through theoretical and practical courses in physical education and sports management. This program allows maximum opportunity for students to pursue various combinations of courses in teaching, coaching, programming, and administration within their particular areas of interest.

The two major offerings shall allow every student to enroll either in a teacher education training program called BPE-School Physical Education, or in a program that caters to the need of the corporate industry called BPE-Sports and Wellness Management (no professional requirement for teacher education). The latter focuses on the sports and wellness courses

About 189 NSTP students took part in the two-day tree planting activity conducted in coordination with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) of the City of Calamba. This activity was held at the open field of the city plaza where the biggest statue of national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, dominates the landscape. Student participants planted mahogany, narra, and other trees prescribed by the CENRO.

The successful hosting of the 11th Gawad Tanglaw stemmed from the collaboration and cooperation of faculty, administrators, students, employees, and all stakeholders of the Colegio. The SEAS took pride in spearheading the project.

The event, held at the dela Casas stage on March 7, 2013, was attended by media personalities from print media and broadcast – both TV and radio. The attendees admire the ambiance of the school, the hospitable nature of the Letranites, and the knight statues that were given as token of appreciation. With the support of Rev. Fr. Honorato C. Castigador, O.P. and other administrators, ample resources were provided to honored guests, awardees, administrators, faculty, and students of the Colegio. The Gawad Tanglaw (Gawad Tagapanuring mga Akademisyan ng Aninong Gumagalaw) was founded by SEAS faculty, Dr. Romeo Flaviano I. Lirio, a staunch supporter and an avid viewer of Filipino films. With the help of his peers and friends in the academe such as Dr. Rustica C. Carpio and Dr. Jaime C. Ang, among others, the Gawad Tanglaw became one of the prestigious award-giving bodies in the Philippines.
