Waste Management System

Since 2008, the Colegio de San Juan de Letran implemented the Solid Waste Management System. It anchors on the basic environmental laws such as Ecological Waste Management (RA 9003), (RA 6969), Clean Air Act (RA) and Clean Water Act (RA) principles of the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 also known as Republic Act 9003.

As of the moment waste segregation is being implemented by the Colegio, Clean as You Go (CLAYGO) and No to Styrofoam and Plastics. It's the contribution of the community in taking care of the environment.

The campus also has its own sewage treatment plant (STP) that treats waste water from sewer before disposing it to the community sewage. It complies with the standard set by the Laguna Lake and Development Authority (LLDA) and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
