Communion of Communities

The Campus Ministry Department spearheaded the 1st Assembly of Campus Minister of Laguna last September 11, 2017 at the St. Thomas Conference Hall. The event was participated in by 30 Campus Ministers from different schools and religious congregations. The Officer-In-Charge of the Religious Education, Mission, and Identity Division, Reverend Father Norman I. Quilaquil O.P., delivered a talk on the transformative role of campus minister in the faith development of students. Likewise, the Director for Campus Ministry Department, Romeo D. Banatlao, initiated the creation of core group and support system among the campus minister for the formal preparation and implementation of the activities and program for the campus ministers of Laguna. The beloved Rector and President of the Colegio Reverend Father Arthur B. Dingel O.P. delivered the opening remarks wherein he articulated the relevance of storytelling as an effective tool in ministering the young people. Similarly, the Campus Ministry Department through the Letran Calamba Pastoral Team organized the symposium on the year of the parish last September 14, 2017 at the Saint Joseph Conference Hall. Reverend Father Ritchie Fortus, Parochial Vicar of San Pablo Cathedral and an alumnus of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba gave a lecture on the significance of Dalaw Patron in building and empowering the community. The event was participated in by selected administrators, administrative officers, faculty members, and employees of the Colegio. They were also challenged to take an active role in their respective parishes and communities. Participants were also engaged in the creative and interactive discussion related to the topic of the symposium.
