In October 2017, the Office of the Chief of Staff was created under the Office of the Rector and President. This was later changed to the Office of the Secretary General in January 2018 with the primary function of providing management and administrative assistance to the Rector and President through overall management of the Colegio’s resources to deliver its Mission and Vision. Relative to the changes in the organizational structure of the Colegio, the primary function of the Office of the Secretary General was changed in September 2018. Its primary function is to oversee public relations and communications, and in charge of institutional publications.
Furthermore, the Office is tasked to supervise the operations and management of the Student Affairs Department, Testing, Guidance, and Counselling Department, Athletics and Sports Office, and Public and Alumni Relations Unit.
In June 2019, a new organizational structure was implemented and the offices under OSG was transferred to REMI Division. Currently, the Office of the Secretary General has a mandate to oversee the Public and Alumni Relations Unit and functions of overseeing the communications, institutional publications, and public relations.
The Office of the Secretary General envisions itself to provide quality services to its stakeholders and alumni through public relations and communications by strengthening the image of the Colegio.
The Office of the Secretary General and Public and Alumni Relations Unit will ensure that all stakeholders and alumni are well-informed of the significant institutional activities and relevant through publicity and other forms of communications.
1. To continually enhance the quality of students' life by providing them various developmental learning programs. Established system and procedures and student welfare services.
2. To contribute to the total human development of Letran Community members by providing a culture sensitive, faith-based, socially responsive and integrative environment through leadership skills development, innovative and integrated counseling programs and wellness programs, alumni and public relations programs and activities guided by Dominican principles and recognized ethical standard.
3. To practice the judicious use of resources to ensure the efficient implementation of programs, projects, and activities (PPA).
4. To deliver quality service.
