Marketing Department

Philosophy and Objectives

The Marketing Department (MD) supports and promotes the image and philosophy & objectives of Colegio de San Juan de Letran Calamba through a variety of services.

The department was established in 2003 as the Public and Alumni Affairs Office (PAA0) under the leadership of Dr. Nimfa Gamban and was tasked to handle promotions, public relations, and alumni relations. In 2005, the department was placed under the Research and Planning Division and was renamed Alumni and Public Affairs Department with Dr. Nina G. San Miguel as director. Additional functions were assigned to the department such as marketing and dealing with companies which are interested in renting campus facilities.

In 2008, the Publications Department and the Development Technology Services (DTS) Unit were merged with APAD. With these changes, the department adapted a new name - Public Affairs Department (PAD), and redefined its major functions: public relations and communications, marketing, publications, alumni relations, and creative services. After a year, the Planning Department was incorporated with PAD. In order to reflect the new primary function of the department, Public Affairs Department was changed to Corporate Communications and Planning Department (CCPD). Dr. San Miguel was succeeded by Ms. Sharon F. Alon in 2011. In 2016, the marketing function was transferred to Auxiliary Business Department. Presently it was absorbed by the office of the Rector and rebaptized as Marketing Department. 'In 2018, the Marketing Department is transferred to the External Affiars Division, headed by Rev. Fr. Jeremy E. Realubit, O.P.
