Knowledge Management Department
Philosophy and Objectives
The Knowledge Management Department (KMD) was created on November 3, 2014 with the primary goal of improving the institution’s capabilities through the effective utilization of its individual and collective knowledge resources. The department also aims to establish opportunities for collaboration and linkages that promote knowledge and resource sharing with other institutions.
Positioned under the umbrella of Research and Development Division (RDD), KMD is also tasked to manage the intellectual property assets of the Colegio, which include the identification, patenting licensing, and reporting of these knowledge resources; forging linkages and establishing networks with business, industry, or government for research and other professional development purposes; and monitoring research utilization.
The Knowledge Management Department seeks to promote a "knowledge-focused" culture that would assist the Colegio's stakeholders and partners in having a clearer perspective of the organization, and provide the management solid bases for planning and sound decision-making.
The Knowledge Management Department is committed to advance the Colegio's capabilities and assets through effective dissemination and utilization of its knowledge capital.
- To effectively identify, distribute, and preserve the Colegio's knowledge capital
- To collaborate with other academic institutions and industrial organizations in establishing mutually-beneficial partnerships
- To provide assistance to Colegio's clients and stakeholders in seeking application for patents and intellectual property protection
- To strive for a level of excellence in all services identified by the department
