AQUATIC Z.O (Aquatic Zero Oil) Skimming Robot Region 4A’s Grand Champion, RICE 2015

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST CALABARZON) through the DOST Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) conducted this year’s Regional Inventions Contests and Exhibits (RICE) 2015 with the theme “ CALABARZON: A Smart Region Innovating and Inventing for Global Competitiveness”, held on October 27-29, 2015 at the Activity Area of Robinsons Place Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The Colegios’s Basic Education Robotics Team with their entry to the SIBOL High School Creative Research Aquatic Z.O (Aquatic Zero Oil) Skimming Robot hailed as the Grand Champion.

The contest is a bi-annual scientific activity aims to enhance the creative and inventive efforts in the region by providing a venue for showcasing products of creativity, inventiveness and ingenuity of Filipino student inventors and researchers.

The Aquatic Z.O. (Oil Skimming Robot) of Letran Robotics Team will be the official entry of Region 4A to the National Inventions Contests and Exhibits (NICE) 2016. The delegates of Letran Robotics Team composed of Mr. Nestor B. Sienes (Coach/Research Adviser), Rafael Red Angelo M. Hizon, Jose Carlos C. Paco, and Alexandra V. Apolinario.
